The 11th annual Deadman Boogie at Skydive Lone Star was a kickass event. This boogie has all-the-fun, from king air and skyvan aircraft to slip 'n slides and bouncy castles, sno-cones and Madmax BBQ, Halloween costume contest and a 50/50 raffle, and live music. Oh, and free local craft beer from Caracara Brewing. How much free beer? This year, the tally was 55 gallons (208 litres)!
As an annual tradition at the Deadman Boogie, our sky family honors their lost loved ones by placing placards with the names of the deceased into a coffin, which is burned in a memorial bonfire.
