Well, I've seen all sorts of target fixation, from a skydiver flying straight into a blimp or hitting a stage, to another skydiver hitting a parked truck and now this -- a skydiver hitting a pump maintenance shack.

Nothing puts the FUN in malfunction like an accidental jump on a Russian D-6 round that was packed for "educational purposes" and put on by mistake. Tanel exited at 2,000 feet only to discover that he was wearing the wrong parachute AND it had a step through. Oops!

I'm not a tandem instructor, but I'm pretty sure a tandem skydive doesn't involve punching your student repeatedly in freefall (regardless of their poor body position). At least the student was already in the fetal position once the jabs and right-hooks started flying. Thoughts?

I don't know anything about paratrooper / military jumps, so I can't comment on the exit separation (or lack thereof) and the ensuing cluster f*ck of 50+ canopies, canopy wrap and impact. But I do know I would pay ANYTHING to jump out of that plane!

There isn't too much snow around the Perrine Bridge in the middle of July with 100 degree temps. So what's a pro skier like Mike Wilson and his crew supposed to do when they have an idea to pull off a rail slide to BASE jump? Import ice, of course, and use a wood chipper to turn it into snow. Well, the wood chipper idea didn't go so well, and neither did Mike's first attempt. GNAR!

There's all sorts of carnage in this compilation, from two skydiving planes colliding to canopy collisions to dirty low pulls and everything in between. A little something for everyone.

Getting tossed around like a ragdoll is never fun! Dust devil: 1, Skydiver: 0

Stupid DOES hurt (a little too much in this case). Videographer Tim gets too close to "Origami Flying Mofo" and a nasty canopy wrap ensues. Origami Mofo cuts away, but Tim's not done yet -- his lines entangle the reserve, which turns into a blue ball of nylon. Tim impacts a cornfield, breaking his pelvis, back and neck which causes instant paralysis. Spinal shock sets in and rescue breathing is performed as he loses consciousness. Paramedics airlift him to the hospital where he wakes days later after surgery and begins life as a quadriplegic. You can watch a post-accident interview with Tim here.

Jumping off a bridge, getting whipped into line twists on opening, then squeezing a parachute through rappel lines and landing on railroad tracks isn't really my thing. BUT, it certainly makes for an entertaining Bridge Day video. Glad the star of this show landed safely with an awesome story to tell.
