It appears 1995 was the early days of who we now refer to as "Jetman." Back in the 90's, skysurfing was big and Swiss pilot/skydiver Yves Rossy was one of the early adopters. Back then, there was some discussion in Switzerland about the purchase of new F18 fighter jets for the airforce. Yves built a model fighter jet and skysurfed on top of it... just so he would be the first Swiss pilot to fly an F18 in Switzerland (for some reason, it ended up being a Mirage III model -- the same plane Yves was flying in the airforce at the time).
